Dear Diary,
Hi it’s me Simon. Since I have died, I figured out that I can see everything that is happening on the island. There has been a lot of drama if you will. Ralph and Piggy are in denial that they took part in my murder. They even lied and told Sameneric that they left early, and had no part in the dance. They feel very responsible for my death it seems, so they are trying to stay positive, and convince themselves that it never happened, or that they aren’t responsible. To be honest, I don’t even know if they are responsible for my death.
Jack and his tribe of savage hunters are going barmy. Since my death, Jack has convinced his tribe that I was the beastie in disguise, and that they are purged from his evil until the next fight between them, and he knew that they would win. The illumination overtook common sense. The tribe believes Jack of course, so I am the one thing that I have ever hated with a passion. Theologically, the beastie could take the shape of a handsome and clean man, but I am not that. He also tied up and tortured poor Wilfred for no apparent reason.
When Roger, Jack, and Maurice were out hunting, they came to the conclusion that they needed Piggy’s glasses. They planned to sneak over to Ralph’s side of the island, and pinch his glasses in the middle of the night. It was a dirty trick and he ended up making Ralph and Eric beat each other up, and Piggy blind.
I wish I could have helped, but no matter how much I whispered to them that it was okay, and directed them, they just couldn’t hear me. I feel responsible for the bloody attack on piggy, Ralph, and Eric. I feel responsible for the fight between Ralph and Eric. I feel responsible, for Piggy being blind.
