-What in this book upsets you or bothers you? Why?
In the last few chapters of this book, Lily's mothers life begins to be revealed to Lily. She is learning a lot about her mother and starting to become fully comfortable with th calendar women and their ways when T. Ray shows up to take her back home. When he arrives he is not happy to have found her because he missed her, but i think because he missed torturing her. Also, he calls her Deborah because he thinks that Lily is really her mom, but when he comes to his senses, he is talked into letting Lily stay in the pink house. What he said as he left was "Good riddance." This made me very angry because this is his daughter and he doesn't even want her. I felt so bad that this moment would be Lily's memory of her dad, along with kneeling on grits and getting slapped.

-If you could change one thing in this book what would it be and why?
I would make Lily have shot T. Ray instead of her mother so her mother would be there and be nice and loving like she was and they could still go to August's house but instead of suffering from killing her mom and living with her dad, she could be suffering from killing her dad.
